I wrote on the moon once… I don’t think things would have turned out better if I had a working space helmet. Why do they still call it a “space helmet” if you are writing on the moon? Reply ↓
See! If you were writing on the Moon and wore a Moon helmet you might be able to see! (Probably would want Moon boots and the whole ensemble.)
But wouldn’t it be better to have a space helmet, and space boots with a space suit since they work in all of space and not just the moon?
After a quick Google, it looks like they were just used in the Mercury space program, and did not, unfortunately, contain any mercury. Reply ↓

Point taken… though I have seen Mercury Space helmets….
Do they have liquid metal in them?
I can’t recall… it was 5 or so decades ago…

I believe that on Mercury and Venus there are many other liquid metals. 🙂
